Here at Northern Lights Academy, we believe in community. We know children thrive when they are surrounded by a community in which they feel safe, connected, and accepted. That’s why creating such an environment is a top priority for us, both with our learners and their families. Building community, however, takes opportunity, time and trust. 

With that thought in mind, we are opening our doors for a special OPEN HOUSE event!

We are hosting this open house to create an opportunity to become acquainted. This is an exciting time for us! We would love to introduce you to some of our educators and the classes they have been carefully desgining. We hope that in time, through dedication, we will grow to be a trusted component of your family’s educational resources.  

The Open House will be happening between October 18th and 24th. During this week, we have scheduled over 35 FREE one time classes for learners between the ages of 3 and 18. 

The line up of classes includes everything from preschool to physics! This means that there is something for every child in your life!

Over the past couple of months, our organization has grown to a wonderful community of educators. They have been tirelessly working on designing and developing learning opportunities meant just for your learner and they are ready to welcome your family!

Fun Fact: We are proud to be Canadian, and we are founded in British Columbia our educators span from coast to coast – literally! We have educators from Vancouver Island all the way to Newfoundland.

LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR CLASSES

Our organization works to serve all learners and their varied interests and needs. Our classes are open to all learners ages 3-18 regardless if they are homeschoolers, unschoolers, home learners, or bricks and mortar learners. Classes range from special interest, to social, to academic, and they can vary in length from a one time classes to full semester courses. When designing core subject classes such as science or math, our educators cross reference multiple provincial standards to ensure classes meet or exceed all provincial standards.

For the duration of our open house, we have curated a huge selection of one time classes for your learner(s) to engage in an interactive session, meet our educators, and some fellow learners. This selection includes a range of special interest classes such as photography and yoga, as well as academic classes in Math, Geograpy, History, Science, and English, and even activity classes for preschoolers. LET’S BUILD COMMUNITY!

At the end of the week, we invite you – the adults in our learners’ lives – to join us on a  Facebook Live on October 24th @4PM PST. During this time, we would love for you, parents, to meet some of our educators in our learning community. During this time, we would love to hear from you as to what some of your needs are and how we can partner with you to serve your learners, as well as, answer any questions that you may have.
